Film Focus is an Australian based production company, focussed on delivering compelling screen stories that connect emotionally with audiences, on the big screen and the small.
In the film space, we work across the ideation, development and delivery of our own concepts in short and feature film work, and in the crewing of other projects for Australian-based films. With early wins already under our belt, we’re excited to continue pushing the boundaries and delivering quality, exciting screen content.
Our commercial work delivers inspiring vision, that utilises compelling visual narrative to engage viewers. We work across videography, photography, web design, creative strategy and social media to help brands, corporations, charities and governments tell stories to drive outcomes.

Jacob Richardson

CREATIVE DIRECTOR & FILMMAKER
Jacob is an award-winning filmmaker, whose unique vision unifies the Film Focus team’s work into a cohesive and inspiring vision.
Jacob created Film Focus in 2016, and has since led projects for clients like Telstra, Nespresso, IKEA, Ferrari, BMW, The Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and many more both domestically and internationally.
His debut short documentary, Salt of the Earth, was an official selection of the Adelaide Film Festival, won many awards on its film festival run, and made domestic and international headlines.
Aida Vucic

PRODUCER & CO-OWNER
Aida founded Film Focus in 2016 with Jacob, and since then has gone on to work on and in the business across a range of projects, including producing the award-winning short documentary Salt of the Earth.
Aida has a strong strategic business consulting background, and helps guide business strategy and project strategy, as well as secure finance and distribution for Film Focus’ creative output.
Her project management background aids in the structuring of Film Focus’ projects, ensuring delivery on time and on budget.,
Tom Van Kalken

WRITER & PRODUCER
Tom is tertiary qualified in the film industry, with extensive experience domestically and internationally with video production, animation, script writing and podcast production.
He writes for the most popular children’s podcast in the world, and currently edits YouTube star Johnny Harris’ content.
Wilhelmina Martens

PHOTOGRAPHER & GRAPHIC/WEB DESIGN
An accomplished photographer, Wilhelmina shoots a lot of our photographic content including food, venue and events.
Wilhelmina is also currently studying web design, aiding Jacob in a number of web design related Film Focus Productions projects.
